Anna Borowska

Anna is passionate about health and fitness. Over the years she participated in many different exercise methods, including Capoeira and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, before discovering Pilates. Her love of Pilates was born after a Jiu-Jitsu competition injury when she discovered the benefits of spinal rehabilitation through the Pilates method. It was Pilates that enabled her to continue with Martial Arts post-injury.

After years of self-practise in Pilates, Anna decided to progress her Pilates journey by training to become an instructor and so she gained her instructor Certification through Body Arts and Science International (BASI Pilates). Anna relished the knowledge she gained in a broad range of related disciplines, and this provided a solid platform with which to embark on her career as an instructor.

Anna loves the creativity involved in teaching Pilates – how exercises can be adapted and combined to produce beautifully flowing and functional movement. She enjoys the challenge involved in transforming someone with little body awareness into someone strong and graceful.

Anna believes it is important to keep up-to-date with the latest research, concepts and trends in the movement and fitness industry and enjoys attending workshops to broaden her knowledge and meet like-minded people.

Bethany Headland

Originally from Australia, Bethany has always had a passion for wellness and mind/body health. Trained as a classical ballet dancer she has lived and worked professionally in the US, UK and Europe. It was during her time with The Washington Ballet that Bethany discovered the impact Pilates had on her performance. Adding daily Pilates workouts to her already intense routine reduced the risk of injuries throughout the season and helped the appearance and pain management of her scoliosis!

After moving to London and stepping away from professional ballet she took the plunge and decided to pursue further Pilates training with Polestar Pilates UK.

Valeriia Zabugina

Valeriia’s professional mission is helping her clients to build bodies that allow them to live full healthy lives today, tomorrow and the day after: empowered, with no pain, no limited movement or fatigue.

This goal has eventually led her to discover Pilates. At her sessions, you will regain flexibility and mobility, align your posture, increase physical endurance, restore the sensation of your body and tone up. In case you need more attention she is able to work with you 1-1 on your specific goals.

Outside of a studio, she is a vibrant individual, who regularly challenges herself in endurance sports, like running or ski marathons, cycling, swimming and multi-sport competitions, like triathlon.

Valeriia is a Certified Personal Trainer with 5 years of experience and a Polestar Pilates practitioner. She has a diploma in Psychology, which makes her sessions truly transforming.

Katherine Wood

Our Studio Manager’s one true love is running. Katherine’s love affair with all things trail began in 2014 when she joined a team running the 100 mile Cotwolds Way over four days. Her participation as the novice of the group served to highlight that a beginner can go from zero to ultra within six months. Since this event, Katherine has completed numerous ultra-marathons and competes with only one goal: to cross the finish line without pain or injury.

To this end, Katherine’s second love is Pilates. She is passionate that Pilates is for everyone, and that whatever your health and fitness goals may be, making your body stronger is the most rewarding gift you can give yourself. “Regular Pilates has had such a profound effect on my running and body. I am stronger and faster than ever and have started to cross the finish line, not only without any pain, but within the top ten finishers. ‘No pain, no gain’ is absolutely not my motto. ‘No pain, well done you for training sensibly’ is more me.”

Katherine’s classes are challenging and fun. She has a great energy and infectious enthusiasm – you will leave the studio feeling exhilarated and ready to smash out a hundred miles!

Katherine is a Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor and Reformer Pilates Instructor, having qualified with JPilates, and has completed Fuse Ladder instructor training with the world-renowned Mariska Breland, founder of the Fuse Pilates method.
